Dental Implants - Chicago and Hoffman Estates
Dental implants are the most advanced replacement for missing teeth. Not only do dental implants provide a virtually permanent solution for missing teeth, they also look and feel like your own natural teeth. At each of our offices in Hoffman Estates and Chicago serving Norridge, Park Ridge, and surrounding areas, the dental implants procedure is performed by a skilled surgeon. Dental implants involve the surgical placement of titanium posts in the jawbone. Over time, these posts permanently fuse to the bone in a process known as osseointegration. After osseointegration takes place, you will be fitted with beautiful, natural looking replacement teeth. These dental restorations are attached to the titanium posts and are custom designed to meet your unique cosmetic and orthodontic needs. Because these dental restorations are also created at our practice, our patients enjoy having the entire dental implant team in one convenient office location. This is sometimes not the case as many dental offices work with outside oral surgeons and only fit patients with dental restorations after the surgical procedure. At Royal Dental Care serving patients from Hoffman Estates, Norridge, Park Ridge, and all of Chicago, dental implants are provided with a thorough knowledge of each step the process. We want to provide you with the reassurance that comes with having a team of dental professionals working to ensure your new smile is comfortable, beautiful, and, of course, long-lasting.
Mini Dental Implants
In addition to standard dental implants, our practice also provides mini dental implants. Mini dental implants are titanium posts that are surgically placed in the jaw, much like standard dental implants. As the procedure's name suggests, mini dental implant are smaller than traditional implants. This is because each implant is designed not to support individual teeth, but instead anchor securely to a set of full or partial dentures. A full sized dental implant is not necessary for this purpose. At our practice serving patients from Hoffman Estates, Norridge, Park Ridge, and across Chicago, the mini dental implants procedure helps those with dentures enjoy a sturdy bite and freedom from anxiety about denture slippage. The mini dental implant procedure is simply the most secure means of holding dentures in place.
A sinus lift procedure is sometimes performed in preparation for dental implant surgery. In order to see that there is enough bone tissue to anchor dental implants, the sinus lift procedure augments bone in the upper (or maxillary) jaw bone, specifically the maxillary sinus. During sinus lift surgery, a bone or artificial bone grafting material is grafted to the upper jaw. This helps to provide additional material to support the dental implant.
